Teacher Spotlight
Bibiana Lucero Fabbi has been part of the GHS community since 2021. A native of Argentina, Ms. Bibi lived on St. John in the late 1990s and decided to return to the island after spending some cold winters in New York. She spent her first two years at GHS working as our ELC Spanish immersion teacher, a role she’s continued this year while also teaching Spanish at the Upper Campus.
“She’s doing a fantastic job connecting with her students,” says Upper Campus Principal Ms. McGuire. “She has her Upper Campus students doing activities where they’re following recipes in Spanish, and they created a Spanish grocery store for the ELC students. She’s very good at encouraging her students to speak in Spanish.”
Ms. Bibi says she enjoys working with both our youngest and oldest students.
“Working with the little kids gives me energy and I really enjoy it,” she says. “And I have really positive relationships with the Upper Campus students.”
“She’s an amazing person with a positive attitude and a huge asset to our school,” says Ms. McGuire.
Outside of school, Ms. Bibi enjoys painting and cooking.
